Finished Painting Neck & Head

I finally finished Wall-E. I attached his arms, and painted his head & Neck.

I left the ATI logo on…if I would have peeled it, it would have left an indention there, so I just left it.

I think the scrapes and rusty paint add a neat effect!

If I had it to do over again, and I may someday, I think I would make an articulating neck. I am sure I may come accross something in my workshop that will allow this, and I built the entire Wall-E so it can be taken apart and parts replaced. This way I can always upgrade him and his parts to better ones as I get more info about Wall-E. The first thing I will do is make better hands. That is once I get the measurements and scale them down.

Well, if you join The Wall-E Builder’s Group at http://www.Wall-EBuilders.com you can learn how to make a full size Wall-E.

if you want to build a Gamecube one, then go to ebay and search Mattracks, thats a good start.

I will be making a ‘how to’ and posting it soon on this blog.

    Mario…

Thanks for the comments. I tried to contact you through your Blogger profile, but you have public access to your profile shut off. So hopefully you read this reply.

It was challenging to make, especially since you you have to guess at all the measurements.

I expect the true dimensions to be out soon, and I will be posting them on The Wall-E Builder’s Group as soon as they are available.

As far as this guy, well, a lot of guesswork and spare parts from my workshop.

Everything is hand made, and found parts.

I am thinking of building V2.0 soon, simply because I have some ideas on making some of the parts differently now that I got my feet wet with this one.

Everything is PVC, Sheet Aluminum, Mattracks, regular spray paint, and time.

I have had so many requests, I am going to put together a tutorial and it will be made available on The Wall-E Builder’s Group at http://www.Wall-EBuilders.com

You should join, and build a full scale Wall-E with us!
