R2 Gets a Dome
I was leaving evening service yesterday and saw that the neighbor had thrown away a perfectly good R2 unit Dome. So what’s a Jawa to do? I went over and asked the lady on the porch if it was free, and she said yes! So I got it!
It’s the older version, so the metal is nice and thick!
I’m kinda liking the color…I may just mask off the pie panels and leave them this color…

So I got it back to the Sandcrawler and tore the legs off, took out all the guts and saved the lid…
Once I set it on R2′s body, he came to life!!
It has a lot of character…my R2 unit is weathered, and I think the dome is quite fitting!
