Padding, Trent’s Room & Cutting Down Trees
Well, there was a lot I wanted to do today, but was hindered by the fact that most of what needs to be done at this point needs two people…and Terri was home with Rebekah, who was sick, and I did not plan for anyone else because we didn’t know Rebekah was going to be ill until later in the evening last night. So I went to the new house today by myself to see what I could get done.
I padded Rebekah’s room and installed the shelf in her closet, then I tried to pull out the carpet by myself, but another bigger heavier roll was on top, and there was just no way I could move it by myself. So I came home. Rebekah was feeling better, so I went back to the house with Terri, Rebekah and Trent to see what we could get done.
Trent and I worked on his room to get as much of it done as possible so he could do some painting tomorrow. We cut the two sheets of brick paneling up to get the most out of it, and I think it turned out great. We are going with a My Little Pony theme for Rebekah’s room, and a Fallout theme for Trent’s room. For those who don’t know what Fallout is, think of his room as a New York Subway area.
After we cut the board for his room, I fired up the chainsaw and cut down a few of the burned and dead trees from directly behind the house. I need to take a couple more down, and cut the stumps in the back yard down as well. There are a few of them.
Well, I need to rest…here are the pics of today’s work…tomorrow I will be helping Terri with her business, and doing some driving back and forth for a few things, so I’m not sure if I will get any work done. Sunday we have church, so I wont be working again until Monday…but I think my body could use the rest

Thank you so much Nancy…God has really strengthened me, to be honest, physically I felt great today. I had some things slow me down on the house today though, I take Louis shopping on Fridays, and tomorrow I have to work with Terri at the apartments, and we have a party Lori and Kurt have for the kids every year, but then I can get back to it.
I am really trying to get the inside of the house done so we can start moving our stuff over there, and then I will be able to start work on the addition…whew LOL
God bless you Bruce, I really didn’t think you would even be moving after what you did yesterday. Do you feel like a freight train run over you … yet? Oh, my goodness, Trent’s room is going to be awesome. Isn’t it fun to be able to do all the things for your place? All those poor old white birch. They are wonderful to burn in the fireplace or a fire pit in your back yard (only until the mosquitoes attack) – I just love white birth but their life expectancy is not the greatest. Keep up the wonderful work Bruce, you will have a mansion when you get done. We can hardly wait to see you and it. Love ya, N
