Fallout 3 Themed Room Progress, and more
Well today I had a lot of cleaning to do to get ready for the tile tomorrow, I had to move everything out of the kitchen and the utility room. That’s when I discovered the mess under the floor in the utility room…so more work to be done there.
I also got more work done on my sons Fallout 3 themed bedroom. We got the graffiti brick up, and the utility bar near the doorway, and we also started work on the vault-type door for his room as well. I am using the cardboard corner protection things from the stove, along with some scrap metal to make the door. I painted his room after gluing the brick up.
My wife also did some awesome painting on our daughters My Little Pony themed room today as well…she did the grass around the stream, which I think came out great.
I installed a 300watt flood light today too, this will make lighting up the back yard as simple as flipping a switch now
Tomorrow we start laying the tile. We are going to do the small bathroom first, and put the walls up in there…this way I can put all the rest of the bathroom together while our friend tiles the kitchen and utility room…hopefully we wont have to replace the floor in the utility room

Thanks Nancy, we are so close to having the bedrooms done, the tile should only take a couple days, if it would warm up a bit and stop raining I could get started on the windows…it was 34 degrees out when I got up yesterday..at least its 43 with rain/snow mix this morning LOL
We feel so bad that you found that nasty utility room in such bad shape. Do you, or do you think Jodie, will be able to tell if you have major repair in there? They really used and abused every room didn’t they? I am so sorry Bruce. Hey, Terri, you’re really doing a great job with the detailed painting. It is going to be just beautiful. Now, what am I supposed to say about Trent’s room. It really does look like a fallout shelter or something you might be afraid to enter. All that beautiful brick covered with graffiti…that’s what you get for being young and I’m so glad you guys let him experience that wonderful time of life. Tell him to enjoy it now, it will never be back.
Oh my goodness only 36 days to go and you have to be moved in. It will happen because you are moving along so fast. Just wait until the tile is laid. Everything will start to fall in place and you will be able to start moving things in – little by little. At least you can start to fill the closets too. Oh, it’s going to be so fun and a lot of work on moving day. Keep the faith!
