Fallout 3 Room, Drywall & That Thing on my Ceiling
Today was another busy day, but that’s good, I got a lot done again. We only have 33 days to be into our new house. So, I added more things to the fallout 3 room, like an exit sign, and a power box to the wall, as well as a few more bricks and some trim on the window. It’s looking very industrial, and Trent loves it. Being the post-apoc kind of guy I am, I love it too.
I also started work on Rebekah’s horse stable bunk bed. That thing could survive a tornado, it’s very solid. I got the base for the mattress done, and the legs cut, and added the stairs. I hope to get more of that done soon. I’m building it in parts though, so I can move it in and out of the room. I figure when she out-grows it, I can put it outside for the grand kids to play in.
I took the strips off the hallway walls and the kitchen walls that they decided to put on instead of mudding the drywall…it already looks 100% better. I also started working on the thing in the middle of the ceiling. It was full of mirrors and a ceiling fan. I got a new fan, one with a light, since there is no light in the front room, and tried to fix the ceiling thing…the plywood was pulling away from the mirrors.
No luck, so Terri and I are going to pick up some tiles to mount over the mirrors (one is cracked anyway), and then mount the new fan today.
More rain for today as well…good, I love being cold and wet and trying to work in this stuff LOL…if we ever get a dry day I can start putting windows in. grrrr
Here are some pics

Oh yeah, and the kitchen is going to take a little longer because I got the wrong cement board…Terri and I have to take it back today and get the right size LOL
Yeah, the wood was pulling away from the mirror, I tried to fix it, but couldn’t, and one of the mirrors cracked in the process…so, I will cover it with tile and hope it looks OK when I’m done LOL
I love the gray in Trent’s room. It is definitely a boy’s hideout and I can see why you like it so much. How is the kitchen floor coming? I forgt to ask today when I talked to you. Isn’t it exciting to see what God has planned next? It’s really too bad that the ceiling thing was broken – it kinda looks okay in there, don’t you think? I’m sure whatever you pick out to replace them will look even better. Have fun. The party invitation were mailed today. Hugs and love you, Nanc
